Cognitive Medical Systems Inc. is seeking a versatile Software Development Test Engineer to join our remote QA team.

You will contribute to testing web and mobile apps across the full SDLC, with a focus on automated testing, accessibility (508) validation, API testing, and security-focused QA. The role collaborates with cross-functional Agile teams, develops automation frameworks using Groovy and Java, and leverages tools like Postman, Lighthouse, and Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software QA experience with manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Groovy/Java automation scripts and test frameworks.
• Proficiency in REST API testing and SQL data validation.
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (Lighthouse, Axe, JAWS, NVDA).
• US citizenship and ability to obtain public trust (MBI).

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain automated and manual test suites.
• Test REST APIs and web/mobile UIs across SDLC.
• Develop test plans and ensure security/compliance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to define acceptance criteria.
• Track defects using Jira and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Provide after-hours on-call support when needed.
