Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee the day-to-day operational activities of active projects, with flexibility for remote or hybrid work and in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

The role emphasizes data analysis, reporting, and coordinating with field teams to optimize fleet performance, troubleshoot issues, and support commissioning and ongoing operations across nationwide solar and storage projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years' experience in PV Performance Engineering or data analytics.
• Experience with PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM, and similar modeling tools.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Programming experience (Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data and deliver reports and tests.
• On-board active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead and mentor Performance Engineers I & II in daily operations.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance; communicate impacts to teams.
• Update reports for clients including commissioning plans and forecasts.
