Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Performance Engineer II to oversee the day-to-day operations of active projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR; specific location details will be discussed during the interview.

You will lead data analyses of PV performance, collaborate across teams to deliver reports and tests, onboard projects to internal platforms, and mentor other engineers to optimize solar fleet performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years in PV performance engineering, capacity testing (ASTM E2848 & IEC) and PV data analytics.
• Experience modeling with PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; programming in Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority for field and office teams.
• Collaborate to collect data, create reports, acceptance tests, and analyses.
• Onboard active projects into SOLV Energy internal performance platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with internal teams.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data.
• Lead engineers in coordinating operational activities.
