Job summary
SOLV Energy, a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, seeks a Performance Engineer II to oversee daily operations of active solar and storage projects. Remote or hybrid work is possible with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR; specifics discussed in interview.
You will collaborate across teams to deliver reports, test results, and performance analyses, ensuring safety and reliability in project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline.
- 4+ years’ PV performance engineering, capacity testing and PV data analytics.
- Experience modeling with PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM or similar.
Responsibilities
- Safety is the top priority; ensure all teams follow safe practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect data and deliver reports and tests.
- On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
- Track issues and optimize fleet performance with engineers and analysts.
- Troubleshoot data/equipment and relate to workorder data for reporting.
- Lead a team in coordinating operational activities on projects.
- Understand site design, equipment, and current project issues.
- Analyze energy losses and impacts of outages for client reports.
