Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects, with a focus on PV performance analytics and fleet optimization. This role offers flexibility as remote or hybrid, with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, and requires collaboration across internal teams to deliver reports and commissioning plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering, capacity testing and PV data analytics.
• Experience with PV modeling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and office tools.
• Programming experience in Python/MATLAB/Java is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data and deliver reports and tests.
• On-board active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze energy losses and performance impacts from outages or underperformance.
• Lead and mentor Performance Engineers & Analysts.
• Review reports to ensure accuracy and identify performance issues.
• Maintain project design understanding and document procedures.
• Develop and maintain PV system energy models and site layouts.
