Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II - O&M to oversee day-to-day operations on active solar, storage, and substation projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR; location details will be discussed in interview.

You will collaborate with internal teams to analyze data, prepare reports, onboard new projects, and lead junior engineers. A bachelor's in engineering/physics and 4+ years PV performance experience are required, along

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years PV Performance Engineering or data analytics experience.
• Experience with PV modelling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM).
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Renewable energy industry experience preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to collect data, complete reports and deliverables.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy's Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and share findings to optimize fleet performance.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead Performance Engineers I & II in day-to-day coordination.
• Maintain understanding of site design, equipment and current issues.
