Job summary

Zillow Home Loans, part of Zillow Group, is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer focused on purchase originations. You will guide borrowers from application to funding in a remote WV-based role, with options for high-volume digital or relationship-based models and a data-driven, KPI-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination experience with emphasis on purchase transactions, either as an active NMLS Loan Originator with state licenses or as a Loan Originator under a federal bank license.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and successful passage of the SAFE MLO Test - National Component with Uniform State Content.
• Physically located in and working remotely from West Virginia.
• Proven success originating purchase loans in high-volume, phone-based sales or agent-centric referral models.
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and deep understanding of the mortgage process.
• Comfortable with KPIs in a structured, performance-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and trust-building abilities.
• Strong time management, organization, and pipeline management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM, LOS, and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and borrower consultation.
• Build strong relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents/local partners.
• Manage an active pipeline meeting service levels and funding expectations.
• Leverage Zillow’s CRM, LOS, and data-driven tools to manage pipeline health and engagement.
• Partner with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently.
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text.
• Stay current on market trends, lending programs, and regulatory requirements.
