Job summary

Zillow Home Loans, part of Zillow Group, is hiring a remote Mortgage Loan Officer focused on purchase loans for customers within Zillow’s ecosystem. You will originate, consult with borrowers, and guide them from application to closing, operating in either a high-volume digital or a relationship-driven model.

This role requires 3+ years of mortgage origination experience, a valid LO license or NMLS, CORE education, and a West Virginia remote location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination experience with emphasis on purchase transactions
• Completion of 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE Mortgage LO Test
• Physically located in and working remotely from West Virginia
• Proven success originating purchase loans in high-volume or agent-centric models
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and mortgage process knowledge
• Comfortable in a structured, KPI-driven environment
• Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong time management and pipeline management skills
• Proficiency with CRM, LOS, and Microsoft Office
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing
• Convert opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up
• Build relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents
• Manage active pipeline meeting service levels and funding expectations
• Leverage Zillow CRM, LOS, and data-driven tools to manage pipeline health
• Partner with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently
• Deliver high-quality customer experiences via phone, email, and text
• Stay current on market trends and lending programs to tailor financing solutions
• Maintain licensing and participate in ongoing professional development
• Handle voiceprint data in compliance with operational requirements
