Job summary

Zillow Group is seeking a purchase-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to originate home loans for customers within Zillow’s ecosystem. You’ll guide borrowers from application through funding in a performance-driven, high-impact environment.

This remote role requires NM residency, strong sales and service skills, and uses Zillow’s CRM/LOS to manage pipeline and deliver outstanding client experiences. Equity awards may be available based on performance and location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination experience focused on purchase transactions.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.
• Physically located in and working remotely from New Mexico.
• Proven success originating purchase loans in high-volume, phone-based sales or agent-centric referral models.
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and deep understanding of the mortgage process.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to build trust quickly.
• Proficient with CRM, LOS, and Microsoft Office.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and borrower consultation.
• Build relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents and local partners.
• Manage an active pipeline while meeting service levels, productivity metrics, and funding expectations.
• Leverage Zillow’s CRM, LOS, and data-driven tools to manage pipeline health and engagement.
• Partner with centralized processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently.
• Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience through phone, email, and text.
• Stay current on market trends, lending programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain active licensing, complete required education, and participate in ongoing professional development.
