Job summary

ABB is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for Pulp & Paper within the Process Industries division. The role emphasizes strategic and tactical execution, relationship building across mill management and engineering, and value-based selling of ABB Solutions and Services.

The position is remote and requires up to 70% travel within the United States, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and contributing to growth targets across designated accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR HS diploma with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in sales, preferably within the Pulp & Paper or related industries.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales activities at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy Execution: Develop, deploy, and manage sales strategies to meet Sales Volume and Margin targets.
• Value-Based Selling: Utilize value-based and ROI-based selling methodologies to motivate potential clients to invest in ABB Solutions and Services.
• Customer Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key client representatives across engineering, process control, purchasing, and management levels.
• Account Planning: Create account plans detailing strategies, objectives, and opportunities including upgrades and service strategies.
• Competitive Analysis: Assess competing products/solutions and differentiate ABB offerings.
• Presentations: Deliver presentations on technical, operational benefits, and economic justification.
