Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Software Applications Specialist for a remote role with approximately 50% travel across the US. You will advise customers on integrating Motorola’s software into agency workflows, identify improvements, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized solutions.

The position requires 3+ years in IT/Public Safety applications, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering or related field or 3+ years in public safety IT.
• 3+ years in Public Safety, CAD, RMS, or Jail Applications.
• Must be able to obtain background clearance and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational assessments and business process reviews to understand customer processes in Public Safety.
• Provide tailored recommendations for configuring Motorola’s software solutions to address needs and improve efficiency.
• Facilitate business process reengineering and lead workshops to design new processes.
• Design and deliver training curriculum and materials for end users of the software.
• Define, coordinate, and lead User Acceptance Testing to meet requirements and document results.
• Act as liaison between technical resources, engineers, and project managers to align customer needs with product configurations.
• Support project managers to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Present analysis results and project updates to stakeholders for buy-in.
