Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to lead deployment of complex public safety solutions (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail) across Statewide, Regional, County, and City jurisdictions. The role requires managing a team, budgeting, scheduling, and risk/quality plans while driving cross-team collaboration and customer engagement.

The position is remote with 25–50% travel in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast region and preference for candidates in VA, MD, or DC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of project management experience, or 5+ years managing complex deployments.
• Experience with public safety deployments preferred.
• Ability to obtain background clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.Employer work permit sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads complex, large public safety applications (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail) projects.
• Directs the work activities of the project team across organizational boundaries.
• Drives strategic relationships between internal and external teams.
• Resolves issues between internal and external groups.
• Responsible for the profit level for all projects under their control.
• Establishing and maintaining a project budget and schedule.
• Establishing and maintaining a communication plan with project teams and customers.
• Establishing and executing a risk assessment and mitigation plans.
• Establishing and maintaining a quality plan.
• Approving invoices.
• Providing system integration quotations and statements of work.
• Creating, distributing, and presenting various project status reports.
