Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the deployment of complex public safety solutions (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail). The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and ensuring on-time delivery across Statewide, Regional, County, and City levels.

The position is remote with 25-50% travel in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, with a preference for candidates in Virginia, Maryland, or DC. Security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of project management experience
• OR 5+ years of project management experience managing complex deployments and/or software deployments
• PMP certification preferred
• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer

Responsibilities

• Leads complex, large public safety applications (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail) projects
• Directs the work activities of the project team across organizational boundaries
• Drives strategic relationships between internal and external teams
• Resolves issues between internal and external groups
• Responsible for the profit level for all projects under their control
• Establishes and maintains a project budget and schedule
• Establishes and maintains a communication plan with project teams and customers
• Establishes and executes risk assessment and mitigation plans
• Establishes and maintains a quality plan
• Approves invoices
• Provides system integration quotations and statements of work
• Creates, distributes, and presents various project status reports
• Works with the PMO to implement process improvements
• Participates in pre-contract evaluation of terms and scope
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations
