ND Health and Human Services is seeking an Accountant to work remote within North Dakota. You will partner with program administrators to manage budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with state and federal policies.

In this role you will review payments, monitor spend-downs and grants, prepare quarterly cash-flow statements, and provide budget reports to leaders. You'll also contribute to biennial budget building and translate accounting concepts for non-financial stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and their application.
• 1 year of professional accounting experience including budgets, grant management, fund tracking, and related areas.

Responsabilidades

• Manage budgets and expenditures; ensure compliance with state and federal policies.
• Review payments to ensure costs are charged correctly.
• Monitor spend-downs, contracts and grant reconciliation for compliance.
• Prepare quarterly cash-flow statements.
• Provide program leaders with budget reports to support decisions.
• Contribute to the biennial budget-building process.
• Communicate accounting concepts clearly to non-financial leaders.
