Job summary

LocalEyes Group is recruiting Machine Translation Post-Editors with Portuguese-Portugal for remote freelance work. The role focuses on post-editing MT outputs to reflect source meaning, following client specifications and using TM tools, glossaries, and style guides.

You will adapt to project instructions and ensure accuracy and terminology consistency. We seek candidates with translation degrees, native Portuguese-Portugal, MTPE experience, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience.
• Native speaker in Portuguese-Portugal language.
• MTPE experience required.
• Preferred experience in IT/Software translation and proofreading.
• Excellent command of English in comprehension and writing.
• Experience with Translation Memory tools and TMS.
• IT skills with knowledge of SDL Studio and CAT tools.
• Comfortable with learning new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Post-Editing (light and full) MT outputs per client specs.
• Provide corrections and text optimization based on MT output.
• Follow post-editing guidelines to meet quality standards.
• Work with translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
• Ensure high grammatical accuracy while preserving terminology.
