Job summary

LocalEyes is seeking experienced Machine Translation Post-Editors for remote collaboration. You will post-edit MT outputs to reflect meaning, correct terminology, and ensure high grammatical accuracy according to client guidelines. Native English speakers with MTPE experience, familiarity with TM tools and CAT tools, and IT literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience.
• Native speaker in the target language.
• MTPE experience required.
• Experience with IT/Software translation and proofreading preferred.
• Excellent command of English in listening and writing.
• Experience with Translation Memory tools and TMS.
• IT skills with knowledge of SDL Studio and CAT tools.
• Comfortable with technology and learning new tools.
• Strong MTPE understanding and toolset.
• Linguistic and cultural competences for source/target.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Maintains professionalism under pressure and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Post-edit MT outputs according to client specifications.
• Ensure target text conveys meaning of source.
• Provide corrections and text optimization based on MT.
• Follow post-editing guidelines and quality standards.
• Use TM, glossary, and style guides per project.
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy and terminology.
• Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, and country specifics.
