Job summary

VNS Health seeks a remote Provider Relations Specialist to support the Upstate Network, partnering with providers, handling credentialing and contracting tasks, and coordinating performance improvement initiatives.

The role requires building strong provider relationships and navigating government programs, with travel as needed. Remote work covers Upstate NY, including the Southern Tier; candidates based near Rochester/Finger Lakes region preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent; healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience: Minimum one year in healthcare; provider relations and contracting preferred.
• Knowledge: Government programs such as Medicare/Medicaid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with creating provider contracts and amendments, including recruitment and negotiation of terms and reimbursement rates.
• Prepares materials for providers and explains contract terms and program requirements.
• Maintains provider relationships through regular visits, on-site or virtual.
• Coordinates provider site visits and meetings, and addresses provider issues.
• Updates provider manuals and directories with current policies.
• Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.
