Job summary
ABB is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to act as the technical lead for engineering activities on substations. You will oversee design across disciplines, develop documentation, and coordinate with project teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
This full-time, remote position with preference for Northern California candidates offers robust benefits and a base salary in the noted range. You will work with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining safety and standards compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of protection & control project experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities in protection & control for substation systems.
- Develop documents and analyses to support design (schematics, layouts, BOMs, calculations).
- Manage project materials, design packages, and issue resolution with stakeholders.
- Ensure safety practices and standards compliance across teams.
