Job summary

BerryDunn is seeking a proactive Proposal Writer to join our Business Development team. You will lead proposals from initiation to submission, partnering with subject matter experts to develop compliant, persuasive content that reflects BerryDunn’s expertise and culture.

The role requires strong writing, ability to translate complex information, and adept project management to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Remote/hybrid options are available as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.
Minimum 1–3 years developing proposals or related written deliverables in a professional services or government contracting environment.
Strong ability to understand, organize, and communicate complex information.
Excellent writing, editing, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Lead development of compelling, compliant proposals from initiation through submission.
Analyze solicitation documents to interpret requirements and develop response structures.
Leverage existing content and customize with guidance for clarity and accuracy.
Collaborate with SMEs and internal partners to gather content and meet deadlines.
Develop and manage proposal schedules and coordinate reviews.
Manage multiple concurrent proposals and maintain quality.
Conduct client and opportunity research to inform strategy and positioning.
Refine interview/presentation materials with SMEs.
Maintain libraries, templates, and repositories to support reporting.
