Job summary

Criterion Executive Search, Inc. seeks an experienced Commercial Property Production Underwriter for a remote role covering the Southeast region (TN, GA, NC, SC, FL, VA, MS, AL).

You will evaluate submissions, determine terms and pricing, and manage a book of business while building strong agency partnerships. A 5+ year track record in commercial lines underwriting and a P&C license or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty coverage.
• Experience evaluating and pricing individual risks.
• Manage both new and renewal business.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• P&C license or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate commercial insurance submissions.
• Make underwriting decisions within established guidelines.
• Manage new and renewal business.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency partners.
• Analyze risk and determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing.
• Maintain accurate underwriting documentation.
• Monitor and manage an assigned book of business.
• Provide guidance and support to junior underwriting staff.
