Job summary

Encova Insurance is seeking a Production Underwriter for Georgia to manage commercial lines, write profitable new business, and renew existing accounts. This remote role will travel across the state to visit agencies, with a company vehicle provided.

Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting is preferred; a Bachelor's degree is preferred or substantial underwriting experience may substitute. The role reports to the Regional VP, Commercial Lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive commercial lines underwriting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant underwriting experience may substitute.
• Strong knowledge of multi-line underwriting, pricing, and coverage.
• Experience in sales/marketing and agency relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage agency relationships and drive growth across assigned agencies.
• Assess risk, determine acceptability, and price new and renewal business.
• Prepare proposals and negotiate terms with producers.
• Oversee account renewals and new business presentations.
• Ensure proper issuance of policies and filings.
• Stay updated on insurance laws and regulations.
