Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to manage on-site inspections for residential and commercial properties, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide insureds through the claims process with a focus on remarkable service.

You will work from home in a remote-field role servicing Pueblo, CO and surrounding territories, with occasional travel to other areas as needed. Strong judgment, empathy, and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately to real-world situations.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply that knowledge accurately in practical situations.
• Ability to effectively interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to move claims forward efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims both in the field and remotely.
• May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for both residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
• May interact with emotionally charged parties during inspections or claim resolutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support claims handling.
• Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine claim validity and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits according to policy provisions and guidelines.
