Job summary

State Farm seeks a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to perform on-site inspections for residential and commercial claims, including large losses, using technology to support claim professionals while delivering Remarkable service.

You will be the first contact for insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, gather evidence, and prepare reports, often negotiating settlements within policy limits. This remote-field role serves Littleton, CO with some travel to other territories.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of property insurance policies and claim handling.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial building construction.
• Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using claims management software and related tools.
• Physical agility for inspections, including climbing and navigating roofs;
• May require Rope and Harness Safety Training.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and others to gather information and resolve claims.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports.
• Investigate and adjust property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and terms to determine claim validity and compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits.
