Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Claims Representative, Outside Property, to manage and settle 1st party property claims. The role involves in-person inspections at residences and properties, detailed documentation, and professional communication with insureds and vendors. Remote work with travel within assigned territory is required.

A license and training enable effective claim handling and territory coverage. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree, possess 1–2 years of property claim

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of property claim experience.
• Active adjuster license where applicable.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under limited supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, and third-party vendors.
• Investigate and evaluate relevant facts and determine coverage per policy terms.
• Establish accurate scope of damages and prepare estimates.
• Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders.
• Negotiate with contractors and insureds' representatives.
• Maintain records in claim management systems.
• Adapt to new technology and AI tool rollouts.
• Travel as needed to support customers across locations.
