You will perform on-site inspections for residential and commercial claims and serve as the first contact for insureds, explaining coverage and guiding them through the claims process with remarkable service.

The role requires strong customer service and field inspection skills, handling claims up to $500,000, with travel within the territory and some remote work from home when not in the field.

Qualifications

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions
• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts and apply them practically
• Ability to interact with policyholders, agents and stakeholders to move claims forward
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for difficult conversations
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Proficiency with mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for both residential and commercial claims
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other parties to gather information and resolve claims
• Meet insureds to explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports
• Investigate and adjust property claims with exposures up to $500,000
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine claim validity
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits
