Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle accident and weather-related property claims, including on-site inspections and reporting. You will meet with insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process with Remarkable service.

You will work from home as a remote-field role in which mobility and occasional travel to assigned territories are required, with flexibility for virtual work and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in the insurance industry
• Strong knowledge of property insurance policies and claim handling practices
• Knowledge of residential and commercial building construction
• Familiarity with local regulations in your territory
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle difficult conversations with a customer-minded focus
• Ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Proficient in using claims management software and other tools
• Physical agility for lifting, climbing ladders, roofs, and tight spaces
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections for residential and commercial claims
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and involved parties to resolve claims
• Interact with customers who may have emotional concerns during inspections
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports
• Investigate and adjust property claims with exposures up to $500,000
• Evaluate coverage and terms to determine claim validity
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits
