Job summary

Travelers Insurance Company is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property. The program offers training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while working with seasoned professionals.

This role focuses on developing skills for 1st party property claims and operates remotely from residential or commercial locations with mobile work or in a Travelers office. The position includes a 9–12 month training period, with the goal of handling claims independently upon

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least one year of customer service experience.
• Will ingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn claims software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, claims processes, systems and procedures.
• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to investigate and evaluate all relevant facts and information and determine coverage per policy terms.
• Establish accurate scope of damages for building and contents losses and use as basis for estimates.
• Provide timely and professional communication to customers, claimants and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.
• Demonstrate openness to continuous learning, especially in AI and digital transformations.
• Adapt to new technology, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts while maintaining productivity.
