Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property, to join our Northern Virginia/DC region team. You will receive structured training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while working with experienced professionals to develop skills for first-party property claims.

The role offers remote work with occasional field visits, a path toward independent claims handling, and requirements to obtain an adjuster license where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third parties.
• Learn to determine coverage for building damages and establish scope of losses.
• Maintain records in claim management systems.
• Participate in training on insurance policies, claim processes, and tools.
