Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives remotely, supporting operations in South Africa. The role collaborates with IT, business units and vendors to deliver digital platforms that improve customer experience and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management, strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall, and experience with Jira, Confluence, Asana or Trello. Remote setup allows work from anywhere in SA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience delivering digital transformation or software projects.
• Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methods.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Asana or Trello.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end digital transformation projects from initiation to closure.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed plans, timelines and resource needs aligned to strategy.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, analysts and QA.
• Apply agile practices to enable rapid iteration and flexibility.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Report progress and metrics to leadership regularly.
• Oversee user acceptance testing and deployments.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance.
• Champion change management for adoption of new tools.
