Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA) to lead end-to-end SCADA system delivery for wind, solar and battery projects. You’ll design, procure, test, and turnover SCADA/OT/IT ecosystems, coordinating with OEMs, operators, and partners to ensure safe, reliable startup and operation from day one.

You’ll drive energization plans, manage schedules, and support commissioning while staying aligned with NERC requirements and project timelines.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience.
• Knowledge of both the physical and software aspects of networking equipment.
• Experience with OPC, DNP3, Modbus and EGD industrial protocols.
• Experience around HV/MV electrical infrastructure (substations, transmission lines, etc.).
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficient in computer and server operation; strong PM and communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Up to 25% travel; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of SCADA systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure plant communications network, IP plans and firewall rules.
• Partner with stakeholders to configure controls and data paths.
• Own energization and commissioning plan with scope and gates.
• Monitor construction progress; provide on-site programming and field support.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align SCADA deliverables.
• Track design schedules and communicate status and risks.
• Maintain system specs for SCADA, RTUs, and IT/OT equipment.
• Oversee delivery of as-built turnover packages to Operations.
• Support technical due diligence with engineers and partners.
• Stay current on technology and best practices through training.
