Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join a growing team responsible for maintaining and expanding SCADA infrastructure across a large renewable energy fleet in North America, Latin America, and Europe. You will support the control center, validate system changes, and help ensure reliable data transmission from wind, solar, and storage assets.

You will mentor colleagues, work with OEMs, and assist in scaling the architecture while aligning with performance and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience supporting renewable energy generation equipment.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with SCADA systems and OEM hardware/software fundamentals.
• Experience with industrial protocols (DNP3, Modbus, OPC, SEL FM).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for OEM hardware and software capabilities.
• Collaborate with Performance Analytics and Availability Engineering to validate system modifications/upgrades.
• Support facilities and Invenergy Control Center with upkeep/troubleshooting of field equipment.
• Troubleshoot SCADA reliability to improve overall performance.
• Lead technical resolutions through discussions with OEMs/integrators and other engineering functions.
• Work with other SCADA Engineers to integrate systems and provide telemetry.
• Validate current SCADA architecture for scalability of additions/modifications.
• Provide training/development support for engineers and site personnel.
• Mentor team members on SCADA technologies, tools, processes, and standards.
• Drive contractual terms to fit organizational needs.
• Identify platform versions that may resolve issues or pose challenges.
• Assess regulatory impacts on field devices/systems.
