• Bachelor’s degree with five years progressively more responsible related work experience.
• Understanding of a research study and its conduct and how objectives contribute to program goals.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication to audience.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated supervisory ability.
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage project support team assignments, set deadlines, and monitor progress of project support team; coordinate interdependencies with other groups.
• Provide direct supervision to project support team members; offer training and performance feedback.
• Assist with development, monitoring, and tracking of project timelines; identify when tasks may be off track.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings logistics; manage contract negotiations with vendors; some travel may be required.
• Assist the Project Manager with overall management of project staff internally and externally; plan and delegate tasks.
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies and support project management team members.
• Support contract development with funder and ensure compliance with specifications in project work.
• Verify, approve, and track non-personnel expenditures monthly in financial system.
• Oversee development of project procedures and work instructions within the team.
• Serve as liaison with external collaborators and internal teams for timelines and tasks.
• Contribute to proposal development and grant writing; assist with editing and tracking input.
• Pursue professional development activities and plan improvements.
