Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide. The Project Controls Scheduler will develop and maintain integrated EPC schedules for PV solar projects, traveling to jobsites and coordinating with multiple business units.

This role is fully remote with discussions on location during interviews.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years project engineering or related experience.
• Experience scheduling construction projects, HV/substations or electrical features.
• EPC environment scheduling experience preferred.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• P6 software experience required.
• Knowledge of construction methods and CPM scheduling.
• Intermediate MS Office skills and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Use P6 software to develop and maintain EPC project schedules.
• Assist planning by analyzing project documents and drawings.
• Perform quantity take-offs to establish activity durations and maintain files.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, PM and field management.
• Seek stakeholder feedback to improve schedule buy-in and accuracy.
• Ensure realistic durations using CPM best practices.
• Attend project meetings to understand issues and updates.
• Update schedule at least twice a month with actuals and deviations.
• Communicate schedule updates to the project team and leadership.
• Maintain delay logs from development to completion.
• Record weather delays and compare to NOAA data monthly.
• Perform what-if analyses and change orders scheduling.
• Train field personnel in scheduling procedures.
• Visit jobsites as needed to support scheduling.
• Prepare as-built schedules reflecting actual conditions.
• Maintain SOLV P6 data with codes and file management.
• Support reporting while maintaining core schedule structure.
• Handle other duties as assigned by senior scheduler.
