Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a Project Civil Engineer to join our Engineering team. The role focuses on energy project site civil design, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and hydrologic modeling.

The position is full-time with benefits and offers hybrid or distributed (remote) work arrangements. Open locations include Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Houston, with opportunities to lead tasks and coordinate with clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
Four years of civil site design, erosion/sediment control, stormwater, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
Professional Engineer license in PA, OH, IL, FL, or TX, or reciprocity eligibility.

Responsibilities

Lead project execution, including schedules, budgets, client communication, and QA.
Design stormwater systems and erosion control measures for projects.
Analyze utility crossings to minimize environmental impact.
Prepare construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
Oversee permitting for SWPPPs and erosion control; coordinate with agencies.
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support design.
Mentor junior staff and support business development.
