Job summary

Bowman is hiring a Project Accountant for a remote role, preferably in Central or Eastern time zones. You will assist with project cost accounting, reporting, and coordination across operations and accounting functions.

The position emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and collaboration with senior staff. Requirements include a accounting degree, CPA/CMA preferred, and 7+ years of project accounting experience, ideally in architecture/engineering/construction, with GAAP knowledge and Deltek

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• CMA/CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in architecture/engineering/construction industry preferred.
• GAAP knowledge required; Deltek Vantagepoint knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting reports following company policies.
• Liaise between operations and corporate accounting (AP, payroll, etc.).
• Analyze KPIs to support operations management and identify improvements.
• Identify, research, and resolve project issues.
• Reconcile project cost reports for accurate, timely reporting.
• Support regional controller with reports and collections.
• Coordinate project billers and managers for accurate project setups.
• Maintain budgets, scope, pricing, change orders, and reporting.
• Assist with monthly invoicing and collections up to 90 days.
• Assist with annual financial audit preparation.
