Job summary

High Performance Academy (HPA) seeks an Area Manager to lead program operations across California, overseeing staff development, program lifecycles, and data-driven improvements while coordinating with cross-functional teams and travel to program sites as required.

This remote role with travel supports delivering high-quality after-school and enrichment programs, maintaining our mission to empower 100,000 youth by 2030, and fostering a culture of integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant field experience
• 5+ years in program operations/leadership
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to design and improve operational systems
• Knowledge of program evaluation, KPI frameworks & budgets
• Proficient in MS Office and PM tools (Asana, Ninety)
• Experience in dynamic youth programs or education
• Passion for youth development and mission
• Occasional Saturdays travel with valid license

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Program Operations teams through coaching and accountability
• Oversee program lifecycles—onboarding, training, activation, and evaluation
• Support process documentation and systems development for scalable operations
• Monitor metrics, analyze data, identify trends, and improve performance and staffing efficiency
• Oversee budget, labor costs, procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships
• Collaborate with HR, Marketing, Growth, Finance, and Regional teams on staffing and initiatives
• Foster a positive, accountable culture aligned with HPA values and staff engagement
