Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Lead Associate, School Age Programs to support regional expansion and ensure effective program delivery across Central and Southern California. You will train, mentor, and support partner sites while coordinating with state and national teams.

You will travel up to 60% within the region, supervise program staff, monitor outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement for children in California.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience delivering literacy/reading and/or math/numeracy primary education programs.
• Residency in Central or Southern California.
• Travel within Central and/or Southern California up to 60% of the time.
• Working knowledge of financial and subgrant management.
• Strong interpersonal communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to recruit and sustain external partnerships with schools, districts, and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support program staff to ensure quality implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program models.
• Provide in-person and remote training and technical assistance for program staff; maximize technology use.
• Visit sites to conduct observation, coaching, and mentoring with travel throughout Central and Southern California.
• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for assigned sites.
• Coordinate with National Advisors on program questions and challenges.
• Communicate with the Assistant State Director on implementation successes and obstacles.
