Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Lead Associate, School Age Programs, to support expansion and engagement across Central and Southern California. You will train and assist program partners, oversee implementation, and monitor outcomes while traveling to sites as needed.

You will report to the Assistant State Director and collaborate with state and national colleagues to grow the California portfolio and improve program effectiveness. California residency preferred; remote options available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus at least 3 years of relevant experience delivering literacy/reading and/or math/numeracy programs.
• Residency in Central or Southern California.
• Willingness to travel within Central and/or Southern California up to 60% of the time.
• Working knowledge of financial and subgrant processes.
• Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Experience recruiting and nurturing partnerships with schools and community orgs.
• Proficient in MS Office and written/spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support program staff to ensure quality implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program models.
• Provide in-person and remote training and technical assistance; maximize use of technology.
• Visit sites, conduct observation, coaching, and mentoring; prepare site visit reports; travel as needed within CA.
• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for assigned sites and partners.
• Collaborate with National Advisors and the Assistant State Director on implementation challenges and successes.
• Coordinate with California teams to ensure continuity of programs across the state.
