Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Code diagnostic and procedural information per national guidelines and payer rules.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into the EMR; verify missing data with providers.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and related standards.
• Compile daily and monthly coding reports for analysis.
• Work independently with supervision as needed using coding tools.
