Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Profee Coder | Physician Practice Complex Coder with 3+ years of Cardiology Complex Coding experience, preferably Surgical Cardiology, to join our Coding Ambulatory team. The role is fully remote and requires CPC or equivalent certification, with ongoing coding work history.

You will code complex surgical and E/M services, ensure compliance with national guidelines, and collaborate with providers to obtain complete documentation while supporting remote operations

Qualifications

• Profee coder with 3+ years in Surgical Cardiology coding.
• Must hold CPC/CCS/CCS-P/AHIMA/RHIA/RHIT active status.
• Remote work ability and experience with coding software.
• Experience with ICD/CPT and NCCI edits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and code complex cardiac procedures per national guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures; ensure complete documentation for billing.
• Quality assurance to ensure compliance with CMS, ICD/CPT rules.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports for department analysis.
• Identify and resolve validation edits to ensure accurate coding.
