Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, compliance reviews, and education. This role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, offering a 20-hour work week and potential sign-on bonus. You will perform professional fee coding audits using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

A CPC credential is required. Ideal candidates have multi-specialty experience, strong organizational and leadership skills, and are available

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing experience.
• CPC certification required; CPMA preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate across audits.
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner) and related software.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides concise rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes in healthcare coding.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Educates coders through auditing process and feedback.
• Maintains professional, efficient, positive demeanor.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics.
• Demonstrates customer-service orientation, dependability, and willingness to learn.
• Shows high complexity in decision making and strong leadership.
