Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits, using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers, and to provide clear rationale for changes. The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, requiring strong organization and customer-service focus.

Candidates should have CPC certification, 5+ years in professional fee coding/auditing, and experience with Epic or Cerner EMRs. Availability during normal business hours and ~20 hours/week is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding or auditing experience.
• CPC certification is required; CPMA preferred.
• Experience with Epic and Cerner EMR systems.
• Accurate coding with 95% accuracy target.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides clear, concise rationale for identified changes with documentation references.
• Maintains up-to-date awareness of regulatory changes in coding.
• Manages multiple cases concurrently to support workflow.
• Educates coders through auditing process and best practices.
