Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist for a fully remote, flexible schedule opportunity. The role focuses on coding quality, audits, payer reviews, and coding education, with a required CPC and preferred CPMA. Approximately 20 hours/week, with a sign-on bonus and equipment provided.

Responsibilities include performing audits with detailed rationale, staying updated on regulations, and educating coders while maintaining high accuracy. Prior multi-specialty exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC (required).
• CPMA (preferred).
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMRs like Epic and Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education through auditing process.
• Act in a professional, efficient and positive manner.
• Adheres to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
• Customer-service focused with professionalism and dependability.
• High complexity of work function and decision making.
• Demonstrates strong organization, teamwork, and leadership.
