Job summary

Datavant seeks a Profee Auditing Specialist to conduct professional fee coding audits across medical records, provide detailed rationale for changes, and stay current with regulatory updates. This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule and an initial target of 20 hours per week.

You will educate staff through the auditing process, support coder education, and collaborate with care teams to ensure compliant, high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification is required.
• CPMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with specific references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to support workflow and resolution.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
• Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and dependability.
• Demonstrates high complexity of decision making and leadership.
• Shows strong organizational and teamwork skills.
