Datavant is a data collaboration platform in healthcare, seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to deliver coding audits and educate on coding quality and compliance. This is a fully remote role with a flexible schedule, supporting clients nationwide from your own workspace.

You will audit records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers, provide clear rationales, stay current on regulations, and contribute to a collaborative, service-oriented team dedicated to excellence in healthcare data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification required.
• CPMA certification preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMR software including Epic and Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides clear rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Maintains a professional, efficient and positive demeanor.
• Adheres to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
• Demonstrates customer-service focus and professionalism.
• Handles high-complexity work and decision making.
• Exhibits strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
