Selective is a midsized U.S. domestic property and casualty insurance company seeking an inside-office relationship manager to liaise between agents, regional underwriting teams, and corporate departments.

Qualifications

• Highly developed marketing skills.
• Superior communication, negotiation & presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, pro-active, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and all internal business-related software.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and be able to drive an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Work with agents to write new profitable business and meet agency goals.
• Market and underwrite small business and large accounts according to criteria.
• Make underwriting decisions and uphold pricing philosophies; promote easy doing business.
• Monitor agency results; follow up on opportunities and growth.
• Develop working relationships with agents and internal teams.
• Maintain open two-way communication with agents and encourage system usage.
• Stay informed on industry developments and changes in carrier philosophy.
• May travel to meet key agency partners (up to 5%).
