Johnson Controls is seeking a Product Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support to Field Sales & Service and Data Center Accounts globally. This remote US-based role emphasizes troubleshooting and product reliability across chiller offerings.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years’ experience or equivalent 6+ years of technical experience, plus travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Technical/Scientific field required.
• Analyze and solve complex product system problems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting the refrigeration cycle as applied to air-conditioning duty on Applied Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support for Data Center Accounts to Field Sales & Service organization on a global basis via site visit, phone, fax, or email.
• Drive product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process for existing and new products being introduced; create test plans to prove out new and existing product equipment offerings.
• Maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjust to change and collaborate to make it successful.
• Create novel solutions with measurable value for customers; promote coworker involvement and leverage technology to address problems.
• Focus on customer perspective when making decisions; implement service practices that meet customer and organizational needs.
• Set and communicate clear work standards to improve performance; enable One Team mindset and accountability.
• Identify and understand problems by gathering data; analyze information, evaluate options, and make timely decisions.
