Job summary

Elephant Insurance is seeking a Product Business Analyst II to connect business teams with IT, shaping requirements and translating needs into actionable specs. You will collaborate across Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations, using AI to accelerate documentation while ensuring the final deliverable meets the intended outcomes.

The role emphasizes stakeholder trust, comprehensive questions, and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field as a baseline.
0–2 years of experience in business analysis, IT project coordination, product operations, or similar roles (internships count).
Strong relationship and communication skills — stakeholders should find you easy to work with, and IT should find your documentation easy to build from.
Genuine curiosity about how systems and data work — you want to understand why something is built the way it is, not just how to use it.
Analytical mindset: you can read a report or a data output and spot when something looks wrong.
Demonstrated comfort using AI tools in a professional or academic context — you use them to work faster and better, not to avoid thinking.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail across multiple concurrent projects.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with business stakeholders across Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
Lead requirements discovery by interviewing adjacent teams and others who touch the process to surface hidden requirements.
Use AI tools to accelerate the documentation layer to draft requirements, functional specs, and user stories.
Liaise between business and IT throughout the project lifecycle, managing communication and clarifications.
Own post-launch quality: review dashboards, reports, and outputs after every release to confirm the build is performing as intended.
Track project status across active workstreams and communicate updates proactively.
Ask the question that wasn't asked to surface potential issues before they become costly.
