Hard Problems is seeking a Product Owner within the Product & Technology department to drive backlog management, sprint ceremonies, and requirements definition for an engineering squad. You will translate stakeholder requests into a prioritized backlog and support other squads as capacity allows.

We’re looking for a CSPO-certified professional with 3–5 years of Agile/Scrum experience, strong SQL skills, and comfort with data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile/Scrum certification.
• 3–5 years of experience as Product Owner/Manager/Business Analyst in Agile/Scrum.
• Experience managing a backlog for technical or data-oriented work.
• Translating stakeholder or technical requirements into structured backlog items.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and ETL concepts for backlog items.
• SQL knowledge to validate data and inform backlog decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools for documentation and collaboration.
• Healthcare, Medicaid, or regulated industry experience (preferred).
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent squads

Responsabilités

• Own and prioritize the squad backlog, turning stakeholder requests into tickets.
• Refine backlog, sequence work, and track dependencies for production-grade items.
• Lead sprint ceremonies such as stand-ups, refinements, retrospectives, planning.
• Represent the squad in Scrum of Scrums and coordinate dependencies.
• Track and report velocity, throughput, and backlog health trends.
• Gather and document requirements from stakeholders and communicate timelines.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and validate against acceptance criteria.
• Monitor delivery quality and raise risks tied to scope or priorities.
