Description
Role Overview:
This role seeks a highly experienced Technical Product Owner and Scrum Master with a strong background in the healthcare domain. The successful candidate will lead Agile product development teams, translating complex business and technical requirements into actionable product backlogs and user stories, while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders, healthcare SMEs, architects, and development teams to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Leverage healthcare domain knowledge to understand business workflows, regulatory considerations, and customer needs when prioritizing features and enhancements.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business value, technical dependencies, and organizational objectives.
- Translate healthcare business requirements into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Demonstrate Lean-Agile leadership by guiding team members to embrace Agile values, adopt Agile principles, and implement best practices.
- Promote Agile quality practices so the team can meet its goals.
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments to maintain progress and efficiency.
- Facilitate all team meetings, including daily stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Team Demo, and Iteration Retrospectives.
- Guide the team in estimating work and maintaining predictable delivery outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to established standards for solution design, code development, testing, documentation, and release processes.
- Track and analyze team and product metrics, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain and manage work items in Jira, Confluence, and related Agile tools.
- Coordinate with other Agile teams and stakeholders, including participation in Scrum of Scrums and cross-functional planning activities.
- Communicate priorities, scope, release plans, and roadmap updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Demonstrate expertise in leading Agile product development teams while balancing technical, business, and healthcare domain considerations.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of the IT landscape, end-to-end delivery processes, and product delivery lifecycle within a large, matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in applying Agile and Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- Expertise in translating business and technical requirements into prioritized product backlogs and actionable user stories.
- Working knowledge of healthcare business processes, healthcare data, regulatory requirements, and healthcare application ecosystems.
- Ability to manage and maintain work items in Jira, Confluence, and other Agile tools.
- Demonstrated Lean-Agile leadership and ability to guide teams in adopting Agile values and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum seven years of experience working within a large, matrixed organization.
- Five years of experience serving as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Agile Lead for one or more Scrum teams.
- Hold a SAFe Scrum Master certification, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification.
